Error message: "Run API Data Upgrade" - Microsoft Business Central

When exporting to MSBC you can get the following error message:

This invoice was moved back to “Ready for Export” due to exporting error. Please export again.

To resolve the error, the API Data upgrade needs to be run in MSBC.

  1. In order to run the API Data Upgrade in Microsoft Business Central, go to "API Data Upgrade List"

  2. Select "PURCHASE CREDIT MEMOS" > click on "Schedule Upgrades".

  3. Confirm with by clicking on "Yes" to proceed with the API Data upgrade

Note that this can take a few hours to be completed and is advised to be scheduled outside business hours.
