Questions regarding the safety of your funds

What kind of account do you transfer the money to?

When you add money to your Moss account, your funds will be deposited in a safeguarding account held with Royal Bank of Scotland International Limited (trading as NatWest International), a credit institution (bank) regulated and authorised by the Financial Services Commission of Gibraltar.

Who owns the account?

The safeguarding account is held in TPML’s (EEA) / TPL's (UK) name. However, TPML and TPL are legally required to refrain from depositing own funds on the safeguarding account and to hold your funds separately from its own funds at all times. In accordance with the regulations, the bank must designate the account as serving the purpose of safeguarding and segregating the deposited funds from any of TPML’s/TPL's funds.

Who are TPML and TPL?

Transact Payments Malta Limited is a financial institution duly authorised and regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority, registered under registration number C 91879. Transact Payments Limited is a financial institution duly authorised and regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission under registration number 108217.
Simply put, TPML (EEA) and TPL (UK) are the issuers of your Moss cards.

Who has access to the funds in the account?

Only TPML and TPL can access the account, and may only do so to the extent required for settling transactions you performed with your Moss cards.
