What is the Moss Partner Portal?
The Moss Partner Portal is a dedicated dashboard for accounting firms. It helps you manage multiple clients who use Moss, handle referrals, and control access securely and efficiently.
Whether you're onboarding new clients or supporting existing ones, the Partner Portal gives you a central place to view and manage client relationships—without needing multiple logins or complex processes.
How to join Moss’s Partner Programme (and get access)
Accounting firms can join Moss’s Partner Programme and gain free access to the Partner Portal by submitting an enquiry through our partner sign-up page.
Once submitted, our Partnerships team will be in touch to guide you through onboarding and activate your portal access.
👥 User Roles: Portal Admins vs Advisors
To ensure secure and flexible access, the Partner Portal includes two key roles within your firm:
Portal Admin
The main user(s) responsible for managing your firm's Partner Portal.
Can:
View all clients linked to your firm.
Add or remove advisor access for clients where your firm is listed as an external accountant.
Submit and track referrals.
Note: Portal Admins do not automatically have access to every client’s Moss account—access depends on client permissions.
Advisor
Accountants or team members assigned to specific clients.
Can:
Log in to client Moss accounts where permission is granted.
Support daily financial tasks for assigned clients.
Cannot manage other advisors or adjust portal settings.
🔐 Important: Management options are only available for clients where your firm is officially registered as an external advisor within Moss.
How to navigate between clients
Your Partner Portal dashboard displays all clients connected to your firm.
Use the Client List View to:
Filter and search for clients.
See which clients you have access to.
Click "Log in" next to a client to access their Moss account—your permissions will determine what you can do.
If you're a Portal Admin, you can:
Manage advisor access for eligible clients.
Review which advisors are assigned to each client.
⚠️ Advisor management is only available for clients where your firm is listed as an external accountant.
How to refer new clients (and monitor referrals)
You can refer a new client directly from the Partner Portal using the built-in referral form.
To submit a referral:
Go to the “Referrals” section of your Partner Portal
Complete the referral form (required fields are marked)
Choose whether you'd like to make an introduction or have Moss follow up directly
Information you’ll be asked for includes:
Client name, email, and company details
Key contact (role, phone, etc.)
Number of employees and ERP software
Moss products they’re interested in
Any additional context you’d like to share
After submission:
Your referral appears in your firm’s referral log
A notification is sent to Moss’s partner team who will follow up appropriately
You can monitor the status of your referrals in your main client dashboard—keep track of progress without needing to follow up manually
