Trusted Browsers

Note: Trusted browsers are only available if you have the Moss mobile app installed and use it as your preferred 2FA method.

What are trusted browsers?

Trusted browsers let you log in to Moss on the web without completing two-factor authentication (2FA) every time, while keeping you safe by requiring 2FA again when something changes or looks unusual.

After you log in successfully using 2FA, you can choose to trust the browser you are using. On future logins from that same browser, Moss may skip the 2FA step – as long as the login looks safe.

How trusted browsers work

After logging in with your password and two-factor authentication (2FA), you may be asked whether you want to trust the current browser. If you confirm, Moss securely saves this browser as trusted.

On future web logins:

  • If you use a trusted browser and the login looks normal, Moss may skip 2FA

  • If anything looks unusual, you will be asked to complete 2FA

  • If the browser is not trusted, 2FA is always required

Sensitive actions and 2FA

For security reasons, all sensitive actions – such as revealing card details or changing limits – always require two-factor authentication, even when using a trusted browser.

Managing trusted browsers

You can view and manage your trusted browsers at any time.

To do this:

  1. Open Moss on the web

  2. Use the navigation bar and go to "Settings"

  3. Select "Login and Security"

From there, you can:

  • See which browsers are currently trusted

  • Remove trust from a browser you no longer use

  • Check when a trusted browser expires

If you remove a trusted browser, the next login from that browser will require 2FA again.

To protect your account, trust may also be removed automatically if you change your password or your 2FA method.
