Connection fails because of an authorisation error (missing permission)


Error message: Please ensure that you have the permission for Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 at least in one DUO entity.

Problem:

You do not have the permission for Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 in at least one DUO entity.

The dropdown to select the entity is empty when you don’t (the DATEV user can be someone else) have that permission for at least one entity (Mandant) in DUO (DATEV Unternehmen Online).

Solution:

The user needs the permission for the entity they want to connect with Moss.

Option 1:

Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 has not been purchased yet - Please find instructions in our help center article:

Option 2:

Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 has been purchased for this client, but the permission is missing:

  1. “Anwendungen”

  2. “Administration” (or open DATEV Rechteverwaltung Online directly with this link)

  • Find the user who requires the permission in the dropdown and open the user permission page

  • Find the module under “Rechnungswesen” and enable “Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0” → Assign the permission to the respective client / consultant number (Berater- / Mandantennummer) or grant a general permission for all client numbers of that user.

Option 3:

Another DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO or DATEV UO) user has to connect Moss with DATEV. Required is a permission for Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 and admin or accounting role in Moss to connect.

The DUO user who connects Moss and DATEV does not need to be the user who exports from Moss to DATEV.

Note: When the user who originally connected DATEV to Moss loses the permission or DUO access, exports are no longer possible.

Client cannot be found in the list


Problem:

When connecting DATEV and selecting the entity (client), the correct entity (client) cannot be found in the list.

Requirements:

  • We don’t show the error message that the permission for Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 is missing

  • The list of entities (clients) in the drop-down is not empty

  • The entity (client) that shall be connected is missing in the list

Solution:

Option 1:

Permission for Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 is missing for this specific client, but not for those on the list (see instructions for missing permission)

Get the missing permission:

  • Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 has not been purchased yet (learn more here)

  • Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 has been purchased for this client, but the permission is missing (learn more here)

  • Another DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO or DATEV UO) user has to connect Moss with DATEV. Required is a permission for Rechnungsdatenservice 1.0 and admin or accounting role in Moss to connect

Option 2:

The user logged in to the wrong DATEV Unternehmen Online instance.

Please try to first log in to Unternehmen Online of the correct client and try to connect again in the same web browser.
