Moss is committed to keeping your company’s financial data — and your employee’s personal data — secure. But the strongest defense doesn’t come from software alone. It also comes from your awareness.

Below, you’ll find communication templates you can share directly with your team. These messages are designed for non-finance employees who use Moss to request, spend, or submit expenses.

Use them in Slack, email, onboarding, or policy docs to:

  • Reinforce key security behaviors

  • Help team members recognize red flags

  • Reduce your risk of fraud and account compromise

Educated teams are safer teams. These simple reminders can make a big difference.

Below you will find templates that you can share with your team:

Template: Generic format

Hi team,

Moss helps us manage company spend efficiently; but we all have a role to play in keeping it secure. Fraudsters sometimes target employees directly, often by pretending to be someone they’re not.

Here are some quick reminders to help keep your Moss account (and our company’s money) safe:

Moss will NEVER:

  • Ask for your password, PIN or any authorisation code (e.g. one-time password (OTP))

  • Ask you for access to your device or to install remote access software (like AnyDesk or TeamViewer)

  • Ask you to communicate with Moss via WhatsApp or other similar messaging services.

  • Ask for your full card details (PAN, CVV, expiry date)

  • Ask you to make urgent transfers or payments outside of approved workflows

  • Contact you from free or unverified email domains

  • Pressure you to act urgently outside of the Moss platform

If you see anything suspicious, stop immediately and report it.

What YOU can do:

  • Only access the Moss Web App directly via the login on the Moss Website (getmoss.com). Set a bookmark for convenience. Do not access via Google or other third party websites

  • Use the Moss Mobile App for 2-factor authentication

  • Never click links in messages you weren’t expecting

  • Double-check payment requests or bank detail changes — especially if they seem urgent

If in doubt, speak to your manager or IT team

Security is everyone’s responsibility — and quick action makes all the difference.

If you’re ever unsure, contact our [internal IT/security contact] or reach out to Moss Support via the in-app chat.

Thanks for staying vigilant.
