How to invite a new user

Who can invite a new user


Only users with admin rights can invite new users.

Note: To invite another Admin to the platform an existing Admin needs to send an email to support@getmoss.com.

Invite a new user


  1. Login to your Moss dashboard

  2. Go to "User management" in the left side panel

  3. In the right corner, select "Invite users":

  4. In the menu, you will see multiple options to invite new users:

From here you can choose to invite users using multiple methods:

  1. Share an invitation link if you want to let a group of users choose to

  2. Connect to an HR system if you want to put user management on auto pilot

  3. Provide an email address if you want to send one or a few invitations

  4. Upload a file of email addresses to bulk invite many users at once

1. Sharing an invitation link

  1. Go to "User management" and click "Invite users"

  2. Click Share an invitation magic link

  3. Copy the link in the highlighted box:

  4. You can now share this link with your employees so they can complete their signup on their own.

Please note: Invitation links are only valid for 10 days and can only be used with email addresses with your company's domain for security purposes.

2. Connect to an HR system

  1. Go to "User management" and click "Invite users"

  2. Click "Select from your HR system":

  3. Choose your HR system from the list

  4. Grant access to retrieve the necessary data fields

  5. Enter your HR system’s API key (please ask your admin to retrieve the API key from the HR system)

  6. Select that all employees from the imported list are invited to Moss

  7. Click "Send Invites"

The invited people should receive an invitation email soon afterwards.

3. Provide an email

  1. Go to "User management" and select "Invite users".

  2. Select "Provide email address":

  3. Select the role for the employee(s)

  4. Choose "Manually type email":

  5. Enter one or more email addresses into the input field. You can hit "Enter" or "," to provide an additional email address.

  6. Click "Send invitation"

The invited people should receive an invitation email soon afterwards.

4. Upload a file to bulk invite users

  1. Go to "User management" and click "Invite users"

  2. Choose "Provide email address":

  3. Select the role for the employee(s)

  4. Choose "Upload email list".

  5. Click "Upload a file" and choose a .csv or .txt file that contains your employees’ email addresses

  6. Click "Send invitation"

The invited people should receive an invitation email soon afterwards.
