Depending on the accounting system, you can manage custom dimensions (categories), projects, and billable expenses.

Custom dimensions

  • You can create custom dimensions to track spending more effectively, helping you understand your company’s financial performance better.

  • The number of dimensions depends on the Accounting Software configuration, there's no limit in Moss preventing you from using all of the dimensions available.

  • You can also name these dimensions in a way that makes them easy to recognise and manage.

Projects

  • Projects are a specific type of dimension that helps you monitor spending for specific initiatives or events. This allows you to keep an eye on budget use and understand the financial success of each project.

  • In Moss, projects are set up as a distinct dimension and are automatically linked to corresponding projects in your accounting system when expenses are recorded.

Billable expenses

  • This dimension is used to track costs that will be charged back to customers. When expenses are transferred to your accounting system, they are automatically associated with the respective customer selected in Moss.

  • This setup helps you maintain a list of all expenses related to each customer, making it easier to bill them regularly.
