For the log in, it is also possible to use an authenticator app. This can be set up in the platform in profile > log in methods. However, the transaction approval process for certain online transactions will still require your phone number and you can be asked to enter an SMS code to approve the transaction. Thus, we do not recommend to use phone numbers that you do not have easy access to or landlines.
