Once the interface has been initiated in Moss, you will receive an email from our software partner Riecken Webservice & Application GmbH with an approval link (this can take up to 3 days if the information provided is correct).
An authorised signatory of the company or firm must click on this link to accept the service agreement, the terms and conditions and the data processing order.
A person authorised to sign on behalf of the company or firm must agree to the release of the requested item(s).
Riecken obtains information on who is authorised to sign from the trade register or the list of tax advisors. A list of all authorised persons can be found on the approval page.
There are two options:
Option 1: Authorisation with DATEV SmartCard or SmartLogin. If an authorised signatory also has access to DATEV, this is the quickest and easiest option for releasing shares.
Option 2: For authorised representatives without DATEV access (e.g. managing directors), Riecken also offers the option of authorisation via video ID using the provider Stripe. To do this, select the 'Confirm with ID document' option and follow the steps.
DATEV SmartIT users:
The DATEVconnect interface is pre-installed in DATEV SmartIT. However, an additional module is required to connect to third-party providers. This module for connecting third-party providers currently costs EUR 30 per month.
The module must be implemented by a DATEV user with administrator rights and a DATEV SmartCard or DATEV SmartLogin. If necessary, the link can be forwarded to an appropriate user.
After approval, Riecken will contact the relevant DATEV server provider (i.e. either DATEV itself, a DATEV system partner or other server operator, or the IT department) with instructions on how to implement the interface.
Once the interface has been successfully connected, we will contact you. This may take several days, depending on the workload of the IT provider.
D. Completing setup and importing accounts
Once the setup is technically complete, you will receive an email from us. The accounts can now be synchronised in Moss.
To do this, click on 'Finish Setup' under 'Accounting' -> 'Accounting Integration':
Now click on 'Sync and continue'. This will import the chart of accounts, suppliers, cost centres (KOST1) and cost units (KOST2) from DATEV.
You will then need to set up a Moss account and a cash transit account to clear the Moss balance, and create a collective supplier account. A detailed description of the posting logic and accounts required can be found here.
You can then check and manage the imported accounts and vendors and create DATEV VAT keys.
