There are 5 types of cards available in Moss:

Virtual Cards

  • Create purpose-specific (i.e. Marketing card)

  • Start spending right away - no physical card needed

  • Virtual cards offer maximum security and are best used for all online purchases

  • Your colleagues can request virtual cards for single-use or recurring payments

Safety: Virtual cards are the safest way of processing payments and should be your go-to-card for all transactions that do not require a physical card. With flexible limit controls and pre-defined purpose, you maintain full control.

Features

  • Connect with Apple Pay and Google Wallet

  • Create virtual cards in bulk

  • Temporarily freeze cards

  • Edit monthly and per payment limit

  • Reveal and copy your card number to use cards for online transactions.

Project Cards

A virtual project card will allow you to set a date on which the card will be terminated. This allows you to create cards for the same duration as a project is supposed to take.

Subscription cards

  • Virtual credit cards for subscriptions or recurring payments

  • Create vendor-specific cards (i.e. Slack, Github, Google Ads)

  • Recurring payment cards are not cancelled after the first use, but are used again anytime for payment at the specified merchant.

  • Keep all your subscription in one place

Features

  • Temporarily freeze cards

  • Reveal and copy your card number to use cards for online transactions

Single purchase cards

  • Single-purchase cards work like a normal virtual card but can only be used once then they get terminated

  • Not used money on the card that the cardholder did not use will simply forfeit for the cardholder and still be available in the Moss funds

  • The single purchase card is available for 24h after usage and only for the same merchant

Test your card: if your transaction is under 2€ the card will not trigger the 24h countdown and the merchant was not yet set

Which status can a card have, and what does the status mean?

Cards can have different statuses, the status indicated in which phase the card is currently.

  • Pending: The card has not yet been approved yet. You are not able to use it yet.

  • Active: The card has been approved and is ready to be used.

  • Terminated: Terminated cards cannot be used anymore and cannot be reactivated.
