There are 5 types of cards available in Moss:
Virtual Cards
Create purpose-specific (i.e. Marketing card)
Start spending right away - no physical card needed
Virtual cards offer maximum security and are best used for all online purchases
Your colleagues can request virtual cards for single-use or recurring payments
Safety: Virtual cards are the safest way of processing payments and should be your go-to-card for all transactions that do not require a physical card. With flexible limit controls and pre-defined purpose, you maintain full control.

Project Cards
A virtual project card will allow you to set a date on which the card will be terminated. This allows you to create cards for the same duration as a project is supposed to take.

Remember: Physical cards have to be activated on Moss before you can use them. You cannot withdraw money with a physical Moss card.
Subscription cards
Virtual credit cards for subscriptions or recurring payments
Create vendor-specific cards (i.e. Slack, Github, Google Ads)
Recurring payment cards are not cancelled after the first use, but are used again anytime for payment at the specified merchant.

Single purchase cards
Single-purchase cards work like a normal virtual card but can only be used once then they get terminated
Not used money on the card that the cardholder did not use will simply forfeit for the cardholder and still be available in the Moss funds
The single purchase card is available for 24h after usage and only for the same merchant

Test your card: if your transaction is under 2€ the card will not trigger the 24h countdown and the merchant was not yet set
Which status can a card have, and what does the status mean?
Cards can have different statuses, the status indicated in which phase the card is currently.
Pending: The card has not yet been approved yet. You are not able to use it yet.
Active: The card has been approved and is ready to be used.
Terminated: Terminated cards cannot be used anymore and cannot be reactivated.
Frozen: A cardholder might decide to freeze a card of their own for a certain amount of time. This can be undone anytime.
Blocked: The card has been blocked by an Administrator and can only be unblocked by them again.
